The Pretty Reckless To Collaborate With Drummer Matt Cameron of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam
The Pretty Reckless. Vocalist Taylor Momsen revealed that the band has started working on their next album in Seattle, Washington and helping the group is Soundgarden and Pearl Jam’s Matt Cameron.
Momsen made the statement through a posting on her Instagram page where she can be seen posing in a photo with Cameron revealing “Wait til you hear this,” The photo was taken inside London Bridge Studios in Seattle, and the pair sported matching wristbands.
Momsen has worked with Cameron before, when she sang with Soundgarden at the “I Am the Highway” during the Chris Cornell tribute show back in January. She’s been a longtime fan of Soundgarden, and The Pretty Reckless even opened for Soundgarden on their very last tour in the spring of 2017, prior to vocalist Chris Cornell’s passing. .

Tool’s newest album, Fear Inoculum, released this past summer outsold rapper Kanye West’s new release Jesus Is King when comparing first week sales
Jesus Is King debuted at No. 1 in the Billboard 200, making Kanye West to tie Eminem’s chart record of the most consecutive No. 1 albums with a total of nine. Despite mixed reviews, Jesus Is King debuted strong with 264,000 units moved its first week, with 109,000 coming from pure album sales.
Tool’s Fear Inoculum, which was released in August, had an even bigger week than Kanye’s new record. Tool moved 270,000 copies of the album its first week, selling 247,000 pure albums. On top of that Special Edition copies of Fear Inoculum completely sold out its first week, which means Tool could have landed even bigger numbers if they had more copies on shelves
According to Chart Data, Fear Inoculum is the sixth-biggest debut across all music genres in 2019, beating out juggernaut acts like BTS, Khalid and the Backstreet Boys.
Of the 13 albums have debuted with over 100,000 pure sales in 2019, two of them have been metal records including Tool and Slipknot’s We Are Not Your Kind (102,000 copies).
