Eddie Trunk Discussed Van Halen’s Cancer Rumors
Radio host Eddie Trunk recently commented on the widely circulating cancer rumors regarding guitarist Eddie Van Halen. He said the following about the rumors
“To think there is nothing going on here, and there is no story, a guy who is probably in the top three most innovative, influential, groundbreaking guitar players in the history of rock music is not something that should be talked about is absolutely ludicrous.
His point being, thinking this is being ‘played,’ some sort of marketing thing? You’ve got to be kidding me.
The frustration is over the fact that we don’t have a statement from the band members themselves or organization. The concern is over if the man is okay. Every indicator behind the scenes is that he is not, that warrants great concern from people who grew up and love Van Halen’s music, which there are countless many more.”
Ozzy Osbourne to Release New Album Early Next Year
Ozzy Osbourne‘s had a rough 2019 with numerous health ailments and the inability to tour.. According to his wife Sharon, his solo follow-up to 2010’s Scream is complete, with a January 2020 expected release.
Mrs. Osbourne was a recent guest on SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle Show, where she provided a health update on Ozzy and his upcoming record saying”He’s getting there,” she began. “He’s just finished an album, the album’s coming out [in] January.”
She described his excitement over the recent Post Malone song “Take What You Want,” which he provided guest vocals on, along with Travis Scott. “It’s doing great, it’s on Top 40 radio and it’s climbing every week,” she added. “It’s been a huge boost for him because he felt literally worthless.”
According to Sharon, the Prince of Darkness was “near to tears” watching anything on television that had to do with bands going on tour and music documentaries because of his tour cancellations this year. “He goes, ‘I miss my life, I want my life back.’ It’s been really hard on him. But he’s getting there. He’ll be back,” she emphasized.
Sharon also hinted that Ozzy could do a residency in Vegas in the future saying. “He’s not totally retiring, but the touring — he won’t do anymore touring,” his wife added, though acknowledging he would absolutely consider doing a Las Vegas type residency.
